K. Lapira (Chinese, b. 1974) continues to explore new techniques, and believes that his career is a learning process. His original oil paintings on canvas tend to have warm colors and layers of texture. K. Lapira was born in Sichuan, China in 1974. He graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and was awarded the Grand Prize at the competition of Fine Art at while in attendance. He is a member of the Sichuan Province and National Artists' Associations and is currently involved in the Shanghai Artist Association. He has participated in Art Group Exhibition in Hong Kong 2006 and the National Young Artist Exhibition in 2009 - 2012. He has held countless exhibitions, such as the Shanghai Chinese Painting Exhibition and the Asian Young Artist Invitation Exhibition. Lapira was nationally recognized at the 40th Anniversary for the Founding of P.R.C., and was first shown in the United States at the International New York Art Expo in 2010.
Currently his artwork can be found in select galleries throughout China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, UK and the United States.
