"Quickly, easily, and brightly: this is the way I draw, the same way I live. My art is a reflection of myself....."
Anna’s art work is mysterious enough to be fully understood only in the viewer’s imagination. The Russian born artist is most known for her illusionary figurative canvas art work. A moment in the time is stopped, a familiar face revealed, the grace of the body in motion captured. This extra element gives viewers the opportunity to explore a version of what they see or would like to see in that oil painting. The viewer becomes a participant in the drama unfolding before their eyes. Figures are rendered perfectly, naturally, and the use of extensive detail in the positive space is complemented by the impressionistic backgrounds that serve to fully define the subject while contributing to Anna’s signature rich color pallet and evocative moods.
Anna now resides in Canada but her limited edition oil paintings can be found in many fine art galleries through the United States, Austria, Holland, France and Australia.
