    Tony Anderson Biography
Tony was raised from a very talented family. Her brother is a tenor and her sister is also an artist. Her mother, who is a fashion designer, often took her children to museums and orchestra concerts to broaden their own talents. Tony found her passion in art and decided to pursue a career as an artist. Although her obvious talents granted her admission to the prestigious Hongik Art College, she turned down the offer due to financial difficulty. Instead she joined a group of artists who painted murals and projects for various companies. At the age of 24, she was hired by a publishing company in Houston, TX to create decorative illustrations.

Eventually Tony went to college to further her studies, but instead of majoring in art, she decided to major in Korean Literature. She believed that studying literature would help her broaden her imagination and add another dimension to her art. In her earlier paintings, she was very detailed and strived to present a photographic replica of nature; but as her influences evolved to the art of Impressionists, she chose to utilize brighter colors and explore the subtleties of light and shadow. When she paints, she wants her audience to feel the same sensational experience from nature as she does.

Tony often takes trips to the countryside of Europe with her husband who is also an artist. They devote their entire time there to sketch and paint at least once a year.
