American Artist Douglas Chick was born in Toledo, OH. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University and became a self-employed, professional sculptor. Douglas possessed a great artistic talent, and enjoyed creating figurative sculptures and reliefs, as well as teaching sculpture at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. His sculptures are featured throughout the metro-Detroit area at various municipal buildings and churches.
