Dino Rosin was born in Venice in 1948 and moved to the glass making island of Murano with his family when he was just two months old. At the age of twelve Dino Rosin left school and began work as an apprentice at the Barovier and Toso glassworks where he remained until he joined his brothers, Loredano and Mirko, at their factory, Artvet. After his time there, he followed Loredano to his new studio where he would work as his assistant and later become a master glass-blower. Dino Rosin, known as “Maestro”, (“Master” Italian Murano glass blower) skillfully uses rare “Calcedonia” glass so uniquely to create some of the most beautiful hand-blown glass sculptures in the world. His pieces are recognizable and highly collectible throughout the Europe and the United States.
