Frederick Hart, as he sought the solution to The Creation Sculptures at Washington National Cathedral, formed a deep spiritual connection to the writings of Teilhard de Chardin. Deliberately, energetically, Hart explored the ways in which the material could embody the spiritual and eternal. This work, The Divine Milieu: Homage to Teilhard de Chardin, shows the struggle and striving of the choral dance the human interdependence, in which we are all even now part of one another, linked body, soul, mind and heart. With The Divine Milieu Hart invites to enter the choral dance to be drawn like Adam to what we cannot see and enter the mystical night – and maybe, just maybe, we will be able to build the day.

Artist Biography

Frederick Hart created many stunning sculptures throughout his artistic career.  Furthermore, Hart crafted detailed figurative pieces which he perfected with years and years of research and practice. As a result, Hart refined the form of the figure through his multiple bronze, acrylic Lucite, and marble sculptures.

Frederick Hart began his fine art career by stumbling upon a sculpture class after years of grieving and moving around in his youth. After his mother and sister passed away, he relocated to multiple locations before the age of 18.  All things considered; he was failing out of school until he discovered a sculpture class at the Corcoran School of Art. His art career flourished after he discovered his true passion through sculpture in school.

Hart became one of the most popular sculpture artists of all time.  He studied and experimented with several techniques of sculpture which made him a master of these mediums.  As a result, Hart won the opportunity to create the West Façade for the Washington National Cathedral.  Working on this grand sculpture that took Hart ten years to finish gained him world wide recognition for his masterful artwork.  In addition, he created Three Soldiers for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and The Cross Millennium for the Pope.  Hart created iconic masterpieces throughout his lifetime.  As a result, select sculptures were replicated into acrylic Lucite, and Bronze limited editions.  These original sculptures and limited editions can be acquired by contacting info@artleaders.com.
